The Kerr Carpenter Haigis House Website

In early 2006 the Foxborough Historical Commission was given a demolition request form to raze the L.P Faught (a.k.a., the Van Dora Nursing Home) and the E.P Carpenter house at the corner of Central and Liberty Streets so that a new CVS could be constructed.

While the Commission had interest in saving both homes, the size of the civil war era L.P Faught home made it extremely difficult to move. An individual stepped forward stepped forward to help save the E.P. Carpenter home and members of the Foxboro Historical Commission created a website during the summer of 2008 to pay homage the to home, the effort and individuals that helped save it, and the home's incredible story.

By clicking the link below, you will be leaving this website, but you can read more about the Erastus P. Carpenter home by clicking here .
